Jared simply has a passion for photography.
He believes that nothing is more powerful than a captured image.
There is no list of classes taken or degrees earned. No state awards or competitions won.
No staff.
What he does offer is an eye for the emotional moments that may slip by a blinking eye but not a camera’s shutter.
Ansel Adams once said that “there is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.”
Some photographers revel in the delights of the editing room and miss the true idea of photography. A photograph is to move the viewer in an emotional direction.
To go nowhere with our emotions is to fail at the task of capturing what words cannot.
Jared Holbrook is the kind of artist who understands that one image can mean everything and a thousand images can mean nothing. He is after the perfect image every time he pushes the little black button. Since the perfect image is in the eye of the viewer, that task is and will be a life’s work.
Please enjoy this website. It is the fruit of hours of volunteer labor by the incomparable Scott Stadler. Scott has been without question the most selfless contributor to Jared Holbrook Photography.
We continue to offer him our thanks and appreciation.
