Let's just get this one out of the way first:

"My wedding is small. We are on a budget. Will you charge us less?"

Answer:  Believe me I know what it is like to be on a budget. Being a full-time photographer is not easy and it is most definitely not cheap. Having the proper equipment to ensure professional results costs a lot of money. Aside from the equipment there is a large amount of time devoted to each image that is produced for my clients. In most cases a wedding, no matter the size, may take up to 6 weeks to produce. So while it may seem expensive when viewed as "only one day's work," it is actually weeks of devotion to creating the awesome images you have hired me to create.

I will not churn out unfinished work or work that does not live up to the standards I have set for myself. Photographers that hand over a disk of thousands of unfinished photos to a client are not professionals and do not have the best interests of clients in mind.

Rest assured that I realize it is an investment. It is an investment in one of the only real tangible things you get to keep from your wedding day. People will forget what food they ate or what flowers were at the ceremony. The reception halls all run together and the music fades. But your photographs are with you to have and to hold, for a very long time. I believe this deserves to be taken seriously and I strive to give you the best images every wedding couple deserves, no matter the size of the wedding.

"I just want a disk of my images. So don't worry about selling us prints."

Answer: This really is not a question but it definitely needs to be addressed. I offer digital transfer of files to all of my clients. With the prominence of social media in our lives the digital image has become as commonplace as ketchup at McDonalds. I get it. The problem is, what will happen when the cd or dvd you left all your images on becomes obsolete or corrupted after many years lying in the bottom of the hope chest? A whole bunch of sadness, that's what. I truly believe an image does not exist until it is hanging on the wall. The photos only truly come alive when they are removed from the shackles of the digital black hole and printed on fine paper to be displayed proudly on the wall. I offer great products through pro-labs that will last a VERY long time and look fantastic.
